2012-….: Mindfulness for adolescents

The Huoshen Foundation has supported various projects with Professor Philippot at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (see http://mindfulness.cps-emotions.be/activites-enfants-ados.php) . This program is structured and based on the principles of mindfulness training, a program for regulating emotions. The program aims at developing  the following skills:

  • Focus on the present moment
  • Body awareness
  • Identify, explore and accept feelings
  • Take distance from negative thoughts
  • Refrain from reacting impulsively on the whim of emotion
  • Consciously engage in actions related to the values

These same skills are the subject of the research.
